Apple Shutting down beats music from November 30

Apple to pull the plug on Beats Music, asks users to switch to Apple Music

With the launch of Apple Music to Android users by the company, the reason behind the launch is clear as Apple is going to shut down Beats music service on November 30th. If you are a subscriber for Beats Music, your subscription will be cancelled on the said date and you will have to migrate to Apple Music. It was obvious that Beats service will be stopped, when Beats Music stopped accepting new subscribers for Beats Music from June right when Apple Music for iOS was launched.

The support document from Apple states:

Beats Music ends on November 30. Your subscription will be cancelled, but you can move your picks and preferences over to Apple Music right now. All the pros that curated music for you are still crafting more amazing experiences. Plus, on Apple Music, you’ll get even better recommendations based on music you already listen to and love, 24/7 global radio with Beats 1, exciting material from your favorite artist, and more.

Apple mentions that all the features to which Beats Music subscribers are used to will be available in Apple Music and some other features are included as well to make the experience better like Beats 1 along their claim that the Apple music gives “even better recommendations”. This is not the first App by Apple for Android users, but this surely is the first to have that Apple look and feel to it. The earlier two apps, “Move to iOS” and Beats Music were not up to the mark.

With the Apple Music App for Android users will be getting a 3-month trial period after which the users have to pay to continue the subscription. The pricing for the subscription will be updated, the Android smartphones running on version 4.3 or later will be compatible with the App. Users have to create and Apple ID or can use any existing Apple ID to use the App. Music from your iTunes playlist can also be accessed using this app on your Android device.

With the Apple Music available for iOS and Android the company has decided to end Beats music and bring all the users to Apple Music and keep it as a sole music service by Apple.

  1. That is really annoying
    Cause…
With Apple Music you need wifi to hear the music you bought if the Apple iTunes Store
So I would rather it be changed back into beats
