Asus has launched their latest ZenBook, the Asus ZenBook Pro 15, today. The laptop is powered by Core i9 processor and has a 4K display. It also has dedicated NViDia GeForce GPU for the graphics.
The ZenBook Pro 15 sports a 15.6-inch IPS LCD multitouch display. It comes in either FullHD (1920×1080 pixels) or UHD (3840×2160 pixels) panel configurations. The screens have a 178° wide viewing angle with an 16:9 aspect ratio and a 83% screen-to-body ratio. The laptop has also support for input through Asus Pen. The 1080p panel covers 100% sRGB color gamut while the 4K panel covers 100% Adobe RGB color space.
The Asus ZenBook Pro 15 comes with up to Intel 8th Generation Core i9-8950H processors. The laptop has a base frequency of 2.9 GHz and can boost up to 4.5 Ghz. It comes with up to 16 GB of DDR4 RAM clocked at 2400 MHz.
The ZenBook Pro 15 can be configured up to 1 TB of fast NVMe SSD. For the graphics, it comes with GTX 1050 4 GB of GDDR5 memory. The laptop has backlit chiclet style full-size keyboard with a 1.5 mm key travel. It runs on either Windows 10 Home or Windows 10 Pro.
To the keep the beefy hexa core i9 cool in the 18.9mm thin chasis, the laptop uses a dual-fan cooling system and 3 heat pipes. The laptop weighs around 1.86 kgs or 4.1 pounds. The laptop comes with a VGA a webcam for video calls.
There’s an option for integrated fingerprint sensor with Windows Hello support. The ZenBook Pro 15 uses SonicMaster stereo audio system and a array microphone with Cortana voice-recognition support and Harman-Kardon branding.
Powering the ZenBook Pro 15 is a 71 Whr 8 cell Li-Po battery which is said to last up to 9 hours. The battery also has fast charging support with up to 60% charge in just 49 mins. For connectivity, the laptop has 2 x USB Type-C 3.1 Gen 2 ports with Thunderbolt support, 2 x USB A 3.1 Gen 2 ports, 1 HDMI port, 1 headphone/microphone jack, 1 MicroSD card slot.
There’s also support for 802.11ac Dual-band gigabit Wi-Fi, along with Blueooth 5.0. Since the laptop doesn’t have an ethernet port, the box comes with an optional USB to LAN port dongle.
Pricing and Availability of Asus ZenBook Pro 15
The Asus ZenBook Pro 15 comes only in Deep Dive Blue color with Rose Gold accents. Asus hasn’t announced the pricing and availability of the laptop, yet.
