HCL Care partners with Xiaomi and launches Experience Service centers across 28 cities in India

HCL Care has announced the launch of exclusive Experience Service Centers (ESCs) for servicing Xiaomi devices in India. The exclusive service centers are spread across 28 cities across India including Tier-I cities of North & East India and major Tier-II cities across India, the Western and Southern parts of India are not included at the moment and HCL is building similar ESCs for Xiaomi customers.

HCL care, said, “These service centers will provide one-stop solution for services, accessories and insurance requirements for Xiaomi customers.” The exclusive service centers will be handling accessories as well along with smartphones and tablets by Xiaomi. The company has already commissioned 37 ESCs out of the scheduled 40 within 5 months and almost 250 employees have been deployed at these ESCs.

Within the next two years, the company has said that the 40 ESCs will be able to handle a load of above 43,000 calls. The list of HCL exclusive Experience Service Centers or ESCs will be updated. Commenting on the partnership with Xiaomi, Sharad Talwar, Head – Consumer Services, HCL Services Ltd, said, “We are delighted to strengthen our association with Xiaomi by introducing Exclusive Service Centres for their leading-edge phones. We are confident that these state-of-the-art service centers will enable Xiaomi to cater to the Indian markets more effectively and efficiently. This initiative is in line with our constant endeavor to deliver service excellence and be a preferred partner for leading Indian and international brands.”

Liu Tao, Head – After Sales, Xiaomi Technology India Pvt Ltd, said, “A key focus for us in 2016 is scaling up our after sales support and this partnership is a step forward in this direction. We are pleased to announce these exclusive service centers with HCL Care and hope that with this partnership will provide an enhanced and localized experience to our customers.”

Xiaomi has seen a slump in sales last year with not much activity in India, but with the launch of Redmi Note 3 and the upcoming Mi 5 we can see that Xiaomi is making a comeback into India. By increasing the number of service centers and improving the aftersales service Xiaomi is looking to make its position strong in India. Xiaomi has introduced Xiaomi PickMi door step service and Mi Protect Insurance service in India.
