HMD Global, a Nokia brand licensee, has finally brought the Nokia X6 dubbed as Nokia 6.1 Plus, to India, today. The 6.1 Plus is the first Nokia phone to feature a notched display.

The Nokia 6.1 Plus features a 5.8-inch Full HD+ IPS LCD screen with a resolution of 2280×1080 pixels. Thanks to the notch on the front, the screen has a 19:9 aspect ratio. The Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protects the display. Powering the smartphone is the Snapdragon 636 processor with Adreno 509 GPU. It comes with 4 GB RAM and 64 GB of internal storage. There’s also a hybrid SIM/MicroSD card slot, for storage expansion up to 400 GB. The phone runs on Vanilla variant of Android 8.1 Oreo.
For the cameras, the Nokia 6.1 Plus uses a 16 MP primary snapper with a f/2.0 aperture a 1.0um pixel size, the secondary shooter is a 5 MP monochrome depth-sensing camera for portrait shots. The secondary camera has a 1.12 um pixel size and a f/2.4 aperture. The rear-facing camera can record videos at a maximum resolution of 4K UHD.
For a stabilized video shooting experience the phone comes with Electronic Image Stabilization (EIS), although it is available only for 1080p 30fps videos. The notch on the front houses a 16 MP selfie camera with 1.0um pixel size and f/2.0 aperture, which offers AI selfie shots with background blur and stickers. The phone offers features like Bothie & PIP, as well.
The Nokia 6.1 Plus is fueled by a 3060 mAh battery which has support for Quick Charge 3.0, for fast charging through the Type-C port at the bottom. The phone has support for 4G VoLTE, dual-band 802.11 ac Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5 LE, GPS, A-GPS.
For security, the 6.1 Plus comes with a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner. The phone weighs 151 gms and is 8 mm in thickness.
Pricing and Availability of Nokia 6.1 Plus
The Nokia 6.1 Plus comes in Black & White colors. The phone is priced at INR 15,999 and will go on sale on Nokia.com and Flipkart, starting August 30, while the pre-orders start today, i.e., August 21, 2018.
