Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 scores 131648 points in AnTuTu Benchmark

Qualcomm had earlier announced in November their latest chip set the Snapdragon 820 SoC. The chip set was officially launched today in China has appeared in AnTuTu benchmark results. The SD820 was showcased on a device which has some amazing specifications.

The AnTuTu Benchmark score for the Snapdragon 820 is an impressive 131,648 which is the highest score ever by any chip set in the market. The device on which the chip was showcased had the following specifications – QHD display, Snapdragon 820 SoC, 3GB of RAM, 64GB internal memory, 21MP rear camera and fingerprint sensor. It is capable of supporting 4K Ultra HD display and 4K external display support.

Not just the AnTuTu scores but the GeekBench scores as well are pretty impressive, the device managed to score 2,320 points in the single core test and 5,396 points in the multi core test. The Chip set is capable of supporting better specifications and is said to have 3x faster peak upload speeds  up to 150 Mbps and 33% faster peak download speeds up to 600 Mbps in comparison to the X10.

The chip set supports Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0. In 3D test the Snapdragon 820 chip set scored 54,000 points which is quite impressive in comparison to the Kirin 950 which scored 21,000 only so the huge difference can be seen with the new chip by Qualcomm.

With the 2016 availability of the Snapdragon 820 all the companies are gearing up for a showdown to launch the Snapdragon 820 in their Flagship devices. Companies like Samsung with the Galaxy S7, ZTE Nubia Z11 along with companies like Xiaomi, LeTV, Huawei, Oppo and Meizu etc.
