Exclusive: Reliance Jio DTH Set Top Box Picture Leaked

Reliance Jio’s plans are already a bit known with the company starting the test trials for the broadband services at certain places and on the other side, the telecommunication service getting an addition of devices. But, Reliance Jio Infocomm Ltd. is also planning to start the Direct to Home (DTH) services very soon, with the expected launch in March or April this year.

We have got the picture of the round set-top box, which is said to be connecting to the Jio fiber or dish (confirmation of this is not there yet) that is a part of the package and that will convert the content and show the channels on your TV. As shown in the picture, is the remote control that has a Mic button that indicates it will have voice-activated features. Only unlike the other STB units that are offered by the competitors, this is round in shape.

There’s an S/PDIF (Sony/Philips Digital Interface Format) port, an ethernet port, an HDMI port, and also a USB port. More details about the box and the service are being sourced and we will update it here as soon as we get them. The expected launch time remains the same, i.e. March or April 2017. The JioFiber broadband service was said to be getting official around the same time, but it is only a couple of cities that have got the test offers to see how well the broadband connectivity works.
