Smartron launches TronX One smart crossover electric bike, priced at Rs. 49,999

Tronx Motors, a subsidiary of Smartron, has announced the launch of India’s first smart crossover electric bike, the TronX One, today, in India. The company had earlier launched its mobile, three and wearable devices have now planned on venturing into commute business, through their TronX ecosystem.

The TronX one comes with a ride experience of 25 km/hr. The crossover bike comes with multiple ride modes and virtual gears coupled with 3 electric gears and 6 Shimano shifters. The TronX One comes with 26-inch X 2.0-inch cross road type tires.

The body of the One is made out of a rustproof AEROGRADE ALLOY material, usually used in the construction of aircraft. The company has partnered with service and care centers across 9 cities in India which includes, Chandigarh, Delhi NCR, Ahmedabad, Pune, Mumbai, Goa, Bengaluru, Chennai & Hyderabad, where the bike will be available for consumers to test ride as well, based on your appointment slot.

Speaking about the announcement, Mahesh Lingareddy, Founder, and Chairman, Smartron said,

Commute experience of future as we see it is not only Electric but also Connected and Autonomous. We believe Smartron and TronX Motors can uniquely differentiate its products through integration of various connected and autonomous technologies powered by tronXTM. For instance, we can bring voice and touch-enabled intelligent services and IoT enabled lock/ unlock, location monitoring, servicing, sharing features to commuters. We can introduce a range of driver and rider assist autonomous and semi-autonomous technologies to improve travel safety, productivity, and experience. We are looking to open up our motors platform to other EV companies in the future.”

The One bike integrates with your smartphone through the tbike app, which allows the users to estimate the range and also set fitness goals. The bike comes with a detachable 13.6 Ah Lithium 500 WHr battery which is said to provide a range of 50 km on continuous throttle mode and a maximum of 75-85 km of range on electronic gear assist mode.

Pricing and Availability of the TronX One

The TronX One comes in Magma Red and Pacific Blue colors. The TronX One will be available for a price of INR 49,999 exclusively on the tstore.
