Xiaomi Mi Band 3 fitness tracker launched in India, priced at INR 1,999

Months after being available in China, Xiaomi has finally announced the launch of Xiaomi Mi Band 3, in India, today. The Mi Band 3 is a successor to the popular Mi Band 2, which was launched way back in June 2016. Apart from, the Mi Band, Xiaomi has also launched other Smarter Living products such as Mi Purifier, Mi Lugguage, Mi Home Security Camera, Mi TV.

The Mi Band 3 comes with a 0.78 inch OLED panel that comes with resolution of 128×80 pixels. The display is covered under a scratch resistant glass which has an anti-fingerprint coating.

The Band 3 lets users track various activities such as steps, heart rate, sleep and distance. There’s also Sedentary reminders to alert users if they’ve been siting for a long period of time. The new band is said to provide more accurate and improved tracking results than the outgoing model.

Along with usual time and activity data, the band can also show call, SMS and WhatsApp notifications on your wrist. Users can also answer calls using the Mi Band 3.

The Mi Band 3 comes with Bluetooth 4.2 LE using which it connects to your smartphone, to transfer the workout and activity data to your phone. However, unlike the Chinese variant, the Indian variant of the Mi Band 3 won’t have NFC enabled.

The Mi Band 3 is water resistant up to 5 ATM, allowing users to dive into depths up to 50 meters with the band strapped on. The band is powered by a 110 mAh Li-Po battery, which the company claims to last up 20 days on standby. The band including the strap weighs 20 gms while the device alone weighs just 8.5 gms.

Pricing and Availability of Xiaomi Mi Band 3

The Mi Band 3 is priced at Rs. 1999. Such a good price, though totally expected that price. The band is going on sale from tomorrow, i.e. 28th September at 12:00 noon, available on http://Mi.com and http://Amazon.in , and Mi Home stores.
