After teasing the public for a good while, Realme has finally announced the launch of their new smartphone, the Realme 2 Pro, today, in India. The Realme 2 Pro is an upgraded version of the Realme 2, that was launched a month ago. Alongside, the 2 Pro, Realme has also announced an affordable smartphone, the Realme C1.
Realme 2 Pro
The Realme 2 Pro sports a 6.3-inch Full HD+ IPS LCD which has a resolution of 1080×2340 pixels. The Realme 2 Pro has a tiny notch on the top which the company calls the DewDrop display, which has a 90% screen-to-body ratio. Powering the Realme 2 Pro is a Snapdragon 660 SOC with Adreno 512 GPU. It comes in 4 GB, 6 GB, and 8 GB RAM variants, while the storages available are 64 GB and 128 GB. There’s also room for storage expansion up to 256 GB via a microSD card slot. The phone runs on Android 8.1 Oreo with Color OS 5.2 on top.
For the cameras, the Realme 2 Pro features a dual camera setup on the back. The primary camera is 16 MP rear-facing unit, with 2 MP depth-sensing camera for portraits. On the front, the phone comes with a 16 MP selfie camera, with AI Beauty technology.
The battery underneath is a 3500 mAh unit, which is said to provide up to a day’s use with a single charge. For connectivity, the Realme 2 Pro includes 4G VoLTE, Dual-Band 802.11ac Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5, GPS. The phone comes with a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner as well as face unlock, for securing your smartphone.
Pricing and Availability of Realme 2 Pro
The Realme 2 Pro comes in Ice Lake, Black Sea, and Blue Ocean variants. Priced at INR 13990 for the 4 GB RAM with 64 GB internal storage, INR 15990 for the 6 GB RAM with 64 GB storage variant, while the 8 GB RAM with 128 GB storage comes for INR 17990. The phone will be available exclusively on Flipkart and will go on sale on 11th October.
