Gionee M2017 launched with 7000 mAh battery, 6GB RAM and Dual-rear camera

Gionee at an event in China has announced a powerful smartphone, the Gionee M2017, which was earlier leaked back in November, but now has got official with a big collective battery capacity of 7000 mAh. To make it clear, the device has two units of 3500 mAh batteries. According to Gionee, the smartphone will be able to offer about 26 hours of video playing with a single charge of the battery.

It isn’t only the battery that is powerful in this phone, as the Gionee M2017 comes with a Quad HD display under a big 5.7-inch screen and under the hood is Qualcomm Snapdragon 653 processor along with 6GB of RAM. The device runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box and it is the custom UI from Gionee, probably their Amigo OS.

Even the camera combination is super solid, with a Dual-camera combination on the back, where one lens has a 12MP sensor and the other one having a 13MP sensor. On the front is an 8-megapixel camera, and the phone also features a fingerprint scanner for security.

Following a trend or making a new one? Whatever the case, even this phone lacks the 3.5mm headset jack, and this will make a need for some special accessories, either taking advantage of the USB connectivity or Bluetooth for music output. Also, the storage on the device is limited and you won’t find a MicroSD card slot for the storage expansion.

Based on the storage options, you will find two options of the Gionee M2017. Premium specifications would surely have a premium price tag, so the 128GB version costs 6999 Yuan (about Rs. 70000), and 256GB version costs 16999 Yuan (about Rs. 165000). Well, not many would want to have that due to the price, but what you see is what you get. The phone is clad in a premium leather finish.
