Honor Note 10 with 6.95-inch AMOLED display, 5000 mAh battery launched in China

Huawei Honor has launched their latest smartphone the Honor Note 10, today. The new smartphone comes as a successor to the 2016 launched Honor Note 8.

The Honor Note 10 features a 6.95-inch Full HD+ AMOLED screen with a resolution of 2160×1080 pixels. Unlike the recent Honor phones, the Note 10 doesn’t feature any notch but instead comes with a standard 18.5:9 display. Powering the phone is the homegrown HiSilicon Kirin 970 chipset with Mali G-72 MP12 GPU. The SOC also has an NPU for the AI processing and also comes with the GPU Turbo technology out of the box. It comes with 4 GB, 6 GB or 8 GB of RAM and either 64 GB or 128 GB of internal storage. The phone runs on Android 8.1 Oreo with Huawei’s EMUI 8.2 on top.

In the camera department, the Honor Note 10 comes with a dual camera setup on the back, of which the primary shooter is a 16 MP unit while the second unit is a 24 MP snapper. The rear camera has support for Auto Scene Detection, as well as Artificial Intelligence Stabilization. There’s a 13 MP front-facing camera for selfies.

The battery is a massive 5000 mAh affair with Huawei’s SuperCharge support, which charges the phone at a wattage of 22.5W (5V 4.5A). The phone has support for 4G VoLTE, 802.11ac dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.2 LE, NFC, GPS. It comes with stereo speakers on the top and bottom, and also has support for Dolby Atmos surround sound.

For security, the Honor Note 10 comes with a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner, as well as face unlock. The phone lacks a 3.5mm headphone jack. Apart from the usual charging the USB Type-C port can also be used to connect the phone to the bundled dock, allowing users to cast their display onto a larger screen.

Pricing and Availability of Honor Note 10

The Honor Note 10 comes in Midnight Black and Phantom Blue colors. The pricing of the phone starts at CNY 2799 (USD 409/ INR 28,110) for the 4 GB RAM with 64 GB storage variant, CNY 3199 (USD 468/ INR 32,128) for the 6 GB RAM with 128 GB storage variant, while the 8 GB RAM with 128 GB internal storage variant would set you back at CNY 3599 (USD 526/ INR 36,145). The phone is available for pre-orders, while the sales start on August 3rd.
