HTC U11 Officially launched with 5.5-inch display, Snapdragon 835

The latest flagship from HTC, the HTC U Ultra was good but not convincing enough for being considered a great buy. It did receive criticism from all around but that made the Taiwanese electronics company work better on the new flagship, the HTC U11.

The HTC U11 has a 5.5-inch QHD super LCD display with 3D Corning Gorilla Glass 5 on the top. It will be powered by the latest Snapdragon 835 SoC along with 64GB of onboard storage and 4GB of RAM. The storage can be expandable up to 2TB, thanks to the Snapdragon 835 SoC. Coming to the Operating System, it is said to be running on the latest Android 7.1 with HTC Sense, HTC Edge Sense, and HTC Sense Companion.

Talking about the camera, it has got a 12MP UltraPixel 3 f/1.7 sensor on the rear which is capable of recording 4K videos and Slo-mo videos at 120fps. The rear camera has got a dual LED flash and OIS + BSI sensor to produce the images prettier. The front camera sensor is 16MP one with BSI sensor, full HD video recording, and panoramic selfie. All these packed with a 3000 mAh battery which supports Qualcomm’s Quick Charge 3.0 with USB type-C, Bluetooth v4.2, and NFC along with 4G LTE and VoLTE.

One of the interesting new inclusions from the company in the HTC U11 is the pressure-sensitive or squeezable frame of the device that is meant to perform certain actions upon putting some pressure. It would help take photos, open apps, activate voice control and do more by the same squeezing action on the frame of the device. It is powered by Amazon Alexa voice and the other point which holds this high is that. it has got a DxOMark score of 90. The DxOMark test is for the camera and this phone tops in the list above the Google Pixel. The UltraPixel 3 sensor has five-axis image stabilization and processes the images equally well in HDR mode too.

All these packed, the phone supposedly weighs only 169 gm which seem to be a good deal after the fall of the HTC U Ultra. Coming to availability, the phone will be made available in five colors, namely, black, silver, blue, red and white but, only three of them would be made available at the point of launch.
