Xiaomi Redmi 4 officially launched in India, priced from Rs. 6999

Xiaomi India after a successful few months especially in the budget smartphone segment has officially launched the successor to the Redmi 3s in India, the Xiaomi Redmi 4. The company had just claimed that the Redmi 3s was the highest-selling online smartphone till date with a count of about 4 million sales, which includes all the variants of the device. The company will look to continue with that with the launch of the Redmi 4, yet another device that offers a good bunch of specifications for the price.

The Xiaomi Redmi 4 was launched in November 2016 in China (along with the Redmi 4 Prime) and the smartphone comes with a 5-inch 720p display and the 2.5D curved arc glass, metal unibody design and unlike the Redmi 3s, there is a fingerprint sensor provided on the basic Redmi 4 and not limited to the Prime variant. The Redmi 4 is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 435 processor, Adreno 505 GPU and 2GB of RAM. It sports a 13-megapixel rear camera with an f/2.2 aperture, 5-lens system, PDAF, and dual-LED flash. On the front, there is a 5-megapixel camera with an f/2.2 aperture.

With regards to the storage, the Redmi 4 has 16GB internal storage and a MicroSD card slot offers the storage expansion by another 128GB. The connectivity options include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth v4.1, and GPS/ A-GPS and there is VoLTE support as well.

The Redmi 4 comes in three variants, and the following are the price details.

2GB + 16GB: Rs. 6999
3GB + 32GB: Rs. 8999
4GB + 64GB: Rs. 10999

The phone will be available on Amazon India which is the exclusive online partner for this device. At the Mi Home, the phone goes on sale on 20th May at 9:00 a.m. You can pre-order at the Mi Home to guarantee yourself a unit on the launch date.

The phone is going to be sold on Amazon India on 23rd May.
