While the news of the launch of Lenovo Vibe K5 Note overshadowed the other news, it is worth noting that Lenovo has launched the upgraded variant of the Vibe K5 Plus smartphone, with a higher RAM capacity. The Vibe K5 Plus comes in as a good option in the budget category and Lenovo has launched this right ahead of the launch of the Xiaomi Redmi 3s, the budget smartphone that is coming into the Indian market on August 3rd.
The K5 Plus comes with a metal body that has aviation-grade aluminum alloy, and there will be silver, grey and gold color options available for the same. Although a metal body, the phone weighs 142 grams.
The Lenovo Vibe K5 Plus comes with a 5-inch Full HD display with the pixel density of 441 PPI and there is 450-nit brightness and 178-degree wide=angle viewing. Internally, the phone is powered by the Qualcomm snapdragon 616 octa-core processor along with Adreno 405 GPU and 3GB of RAM, the latter is what makes this an upgraded unit with no change in price. There’s 16GB internal storage included and a MicroSD card slot allows for the storage expansion.
The phone has all the entertainment features that Lenovo has been offering for its recent phones, including the TheaterMax technology along with a VR headset. Also, there’s Dolby Atmos technology for the audio output from the phone to the headphones.
The vibe K5 Plus comes packed with a 2750 mAh battery and it runs Android 5.1 Lollipop OS with Lean Lenovo Pure UI layered over as a custom interface. The camera combination included here is a 13-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel front-facing one.
The Dual SIM phone supports 4G LTE connectivity on both the SIM slots. The sensors included are Light Sensor, Orientation Sensor, Proximity Sensor, Gravitation Sensor, and eCompass.

The phone goes on sale from 23:59 hours on 3rd August, the same time when the Lenovo Vibe K5 Note is also getting released, exclusively on Flipkart.
