Micromax Canavs Infinity

Micromax Canvas Infinity with 5.7-inch 18:9 display launched in India

2017 is about large displays but not so large phone bodies and that has been possible due to the wider displays offered by the companies. While we’ve seen some in the top-end lineup from the brands, LG had one in the mid-range market as well. Now, Micromax has brought one into the contention, with the Canvas Infinity.

Coming with the 18:9 aspect ratio, the phone doesn’t have a complete bezel-less solution but it does look similar to the likes of LG G6. The company calls it the Full Vision display, which is also claimed by the company’s founder Rahul Sharma as the “Display of the future”. It is the 83% screen-to-body ratio, just lesser than the 84.2% on the Samsung Galaxy S8.

Coming with the 5.7-inch 18:9 display, the phone is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 processor, 3GB of RAM and 32GB internal storage. On the imaging front, the phone has a 13-megapixel rear camera with F/2.0 aperture and on the front is a 16-megapixel camera with the similar aperture size. There’s a lot offered in the camera app, with multiple modes and auto-HDR for both, the front and rear cameras. Under the hood is a 2900 mAh battery to give it the power. There’s also a fingerprint sensor offered on the back of the device for the security.

Canvas Infinity

The interface part of the Canvas Infinity is quite interesting as it helps put out the best of the 18:9 aspect ratio here and it is the latest Android 7.1.2 Nougat OS with a few changes to the interface. The phone has a removable back cover and the battery too can be pulled out. It is a Dual SIM phone and there is support for 4G with VoLTE, while the device also has a dedicated MicroSD card slot for the storage expansion. Micromax also says that the Android Oreo update is guaranteed for the phone.

Micromax Canvas Infinity Display

The Micromax Canvas Infinity is priced at Rs. 9999. This is going to be available on Amazon India exclusively, and the registration starts right now with the sale on 1st September.

The company says that there is a 24-hour service promise where you can either get it repaired or replaced within 24 hours.

  1. At this price, good offering! But I’d have preferred stock Android on this!

No I hope the price of Q6 would come down!

But surprised to see 24 hour service promise & Oreo from Micromax! ✌️
