Nokia 5.1, Nokia 3.1 & Nokia 2.1 launched in India, prices start at Rs. 6,999

HMD Global, a Nokia brand licensee, has updated their entry and mid-range level smartphones, the Nokia 5, 3 and 2 with newer hardware, in India, today. The second generation phones are called Nokia 5.1, Nokia 3.1 and Nokia 2.1, respectively. All the three phones come with a dedicated microSD card slot for storage expansion, up to 256 GB, while the Nokia 2.1 is limited to 128 GB.

Nokia 5.1

The Nokia 5.1 sports a 5.5 inch FHD+ IPS LCD with a resolution of 2160x1080p. A Gorilla Glass protects the 18:9 display from potential scratches and cracks. Powering the phone is the Mediatek Helio P18 chipset with Mali-T860 MP2 GPU. It comes with either 2 GB RAM and 16 GB storage or 3 GB RAM and 32 GB internal storage. The phone runs on Android 8.0 Oreo.

In the camera department, the Nokia 5.1 comes with a 16 MP rear facing the camera with a f/2.0 aperture and phase detection autofocus. To the front, there’s an 8 MP selfie shooter that 84° wide angle lens on top, which has an aperture of f/2.0.

The Nokia 5.1 packs in a 3000 mAh battery. It comes with a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner, for security. For connectivity, the phone comes with 4G VoLTE, 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2 and GPS. The ports on the phone include a 3.5 mm headphone jack, a micro USB port, and FM Radio.

Pricing and Availability of Nokia 5.1

The Nokia 5.1 will be available in Copper, Tempered Blue, and Black colors. The pricing of the 3 GB RAM with 32 GB internal storage variant is set at 14,499 and will be available for purchase from top retailers as well as will be available on Nokia.com and Paytm Mall, starting from August 12th, 2018.

Nokia 3.1

The Nokia 3.1 features a 5.2 inch HD+ IPS LCD with a resolution of 720×1440 pixels. Protecting the 18:9 display is a 2.5D curved Corning Gorilla glass. Powering the phone is a MediaTek MT6750N chipset with Mali-T860 MP1 GPU. The phone comes with either 2 GB or 3 GB RAM and 16 or 32 GB of internal storage, respectively. It runs on Android 8.0 Oreo.

The Nokia 3.1 comes with a 13 MP f/2.0 rear-facing camera and an LED flash. To the front, the 3.1 comes with an 8 MP sensor that has an 84.6° wide angle lens on top with a f/2.0 aperture.

The Nokia 3.1 comes with a 2990 mAh battery. The phone doesn’t come with any biometric sensors, such as a fingerprint scanner or facial recognition. For connectivity the phone comes with 4G VoLTE, 802.11 a/b/g/n Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.1 LE, GPS.

Pricing and Availability of Nokia 3.1

The phone will be available in Blue/Copper, Black/Chrome, and White/ Iron colors. The pricing of the Nokia 3.1 is set at INR 11,999 and will be available for purchase from top retailers as well as will be available on Nokia.com and Paytm Mall, starting from August 12th, 2018.

Nokia 2.1

The Nokia 2.1 comes with a 5.5 inch HD IPS LCD screen that has a resolution of 1280×720 pixels. A Corning Gorilla Glass protects the traditional 16:9 display from scratches. The screen also comes with an anti-fingerprint coating. Powering the phone is a Snapdragon 425 chipset with Adreno 308 GPU. It comes with 1 GB of LPDDR3 RAM and 8 GB of internal storage. The phone runs on Android 8.1 Oreo Go edition.

As for the cameras, the Nokia 2.1 comes with an 8 MP rear camera which has autofocus and an LED flash. To the front, it comes with a 5 MP selfie shooter. The phone can record videos at a maximum resolution of 720p at 30fps.

The Nokia 2.1 packs in a massive 4100 mAh battery, which is said to offer up to 2 days of battery life. The phone supports 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS with GLONASS. It also has a 3.5 mm headphone jack, FM radio support, and dual speakers.

Pricing and Availability of Nokia 2.1

The phone will be available in three colors – Blue/Copper, Blue/Silver, Grey/Silver. The pricing of the phone comes at INR 6,999 and will be available for purchase from top retailers as well as will be available on Nokia.com and Paytm Mall, starting from August 12th, 2018.

  3. first a fall all three smartphone are overpriced totally with there low end spec’s which make it not worth to buy at all, seriously MT SoC at 11k? what nokia actually want to do? we get Snapdragon 636 in 11k now days.
