Oneplus 5 teaser

OnePlus 5 – What do we know so far? (Confirmed)

It is on June 20th when we get to know the official specs and everything about the OnePlus 5 but the excitement is no less. We know a few things and there are a few speculations that need to end, so here it is. Firstly, with the design, is the OnePlus 5 having a copy of the iPhone? Yes, it is. Be ready to be disappointed if you were expecting something else, probably a surprise from the company towards the end after some teasers, but no, this is the design and you better accept it now.

The design is good, as far as my thoughts are concerned and I won’t care if it copied the iPhone because the iPhone was never having a bad design. You look up to Apple and Samsung and don’t ever complain, why do you do so when it comes to brands like OnePlus? Yes, I know, you have a lot of expectations but that’s how they could manage when they have only so much of space to pack everything and the corner is where the company could place the cameras. Also, the antenna band is also resembling the iPhone.

The internal specs, we know most of it already. Snapdragon 835 processor and I have personally seen the 6GB RAM variant but Amazon.in also had a source code for the 8GB RAM variant so yes, two variants and while 6GB one will have 64GB storage, the 8GB one will come with 128GB internal storage.

Oneplus 5 invite

Focus on what matters from the invite might have confused people as some are expecting the company to surprise them with the design on the final day. But that is all about the camera. The dual-lens camera is similar in function to the iPhone cameras – secondary lens helping in the zoom, but they work in the portrait shots as well with the background defocus.

While with the OS, you might not see much of a difference when it comes to OxygenOS as the same gestures and the UI is seen, it is rather a good news for the OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T users as you will find the same OS version as an update anytime soon.
