OPPO F7 officially launched with 6.23-inch 19:9 display, 25MP selfie camera

OPPO has finally launched its selfie centric smartphone, the OPPO F7, in a launch event held in Mumbai today. The phone has a trendy iPhone X-like notch on the front, and has the aspect ratio that is similar to that of the Vivo V9 that was just recently launched.

The Oppo F7 sports a 6.23 inch LTPS IPS LCD display with 1080x2280p resolution and a notch on top. The display has a 19:9 aspect ratio. It is powered by the latest Octa-core Helio P60 processor from Mediatek, and a Mali-G72MP3 GPU. The phone has 4GB of RAM and comes with 64GB of internal storage (except for the special color variants having 6GB of RAM and 128GB storage). The storage can be upgraded upto 256 GB via the dedicated microSD card slot. The phone comes with Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box with Oppo’s ColorOS 5.0 on top.

OPPO F7 Colors

The F7, being pitched as a selfie centric phone has a 16 MP rear camera with AI Recognize Technology, which can distinguish between people and background easily for better portrait shots. While the main star of the show is the 25 MP AI powered front-facing camera. It comes with AI Beauty Technology 2.0 with 8 million beauty effects and 290+ full feature points. The front-facing camera comes with HDR for clearer selfies. The phone also has the AR stickers in the camera interface which sort of mimics the Snapchat stickers. There’s also AI album feature which recognise your photo library and sort the photos based on people, places, time and events. There’s also a 25 MP vivid mode that enhances colours in the background & beautifies your skin.

The phone has a 3400 mAh battery. It comes with face unlock feature and also a rear mounted fingerprint scanner. The back is made out of metal that has a glossy finish. The Helio P60 chipset underneath comes with Neuro Pilot AI technology which can intelligently manage your background tasks by analyzing your usage habits and adapt accordingly. Color OS 5.0 comes with screen recording and in-built photo editor for convenience. The phone’s AI board lets you add frequently dialed contacts, frequently used apps, set ticket reminders, track steps and follow weather updates, easily and quickly.

The Oppo F7 will come in Diamond Black, Moonlight Silver, and Solar Red colours. The phone is priced at Rs. 21990. The special edition F7 is priced at Rs. 26990, with Black and Red variants (6GB RAM, 128GB storage) will be available at the select OPPO stores. The the brand will have a Flash Sale for the F7 on 2nd April 2018, just for 24 hours. The Flash Sale will be on 777 OPPO stores across the country and only 10,000 phones will be up for grabs for this one day.
