Samsung Galaxy A5 and A7 2017 with IP68 rating launched in India

Samsung India has launched the Galaxy A5 and A7 smartphones with the IP68 rating in India. Both these handsets were introduced in Russia ahead of CES 2017. They support Samsung Pay which allows you to pay to vendors and it supports Paytm wallet. Let’s check out the specifications of the Galaxy A5 and A7 in detail.

Samsung Galaxy A5 2017 Specifications:

The Galaxy A5 (2017) sports a 5.2-inches Full HD (1920 X 1080) Super AMOLED display that comes with Corning Gorilla Glass 4 protection. It is powered by the Exynos 7880 SoC clocked at 1.9GHz octa-core processor and Mali-T830MP3 GPU coupled with 3GB RAM and 32GB storage. The Samsung Galaxy A5 2017 runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow with TouchWiz U.I on top.

In the camera department, the device features a 16-megapixel camera with  F1.9 aperture, LED flash and on the front, it has the same 16-megapixel selfie shooter for selfies and video calls. There is a Fingerprint sensor on board for all security requirements. Connectivity features include 4G LTE, Dual SIM, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth v 4.2, ANT+, USB Type-C,and NFC (UICC, eSE). The device comes equipped with 3000mAh battery.

The Samsung Galaxy A7 2017 features a 5.7-inch Full HD (1920 X 1080) Super AMOLED display, and it is powered by Exynos 7880 SoC clocked at 1.9GHz octa-core processor coupled with 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage with a microSD card slot for memory expansion up to 256GB. It runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow right out of the box.

Moving to the camera, the A7 also packs the same 16-megapixel camera with  F1.9 aperture, LED flash and the same 16-megapixel shooter on the front for selfies and video calls. The A7 also packs a Fingerprint sensor and rock the IP68 rating for water and dust resistance. Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, Dual SIM, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth v 4.2, ANT+, USB Type-C,and NFC (UICC, eSE). A 3600mAh battery with no fast charge support is on board.

Pricing: The Samsung Galaxy A5 is priced at Rs. 28,990 while the Galaxy A7 costs you Rs. 33,490.
