Vivo Xplay6, X9 and X9 Plus Smartphones announced in China – Specs & Price

Vivo has introduced the Xplay6, X9 and X9 Plus smartphones in the company’s X-series in China. All these run on Android 6.0 Marshmallow and come with 4G VoLTE support. The Xplay6 is the successor to the Xplay5 that was introduced earlier this year and it comes with Snapdragon 820 SoC coupled with 6GB RAM. The X9 and X9 Plus come with Dual front facing cameras focussing on the selfies feature. Let’s check the specifications of these in detail.

Vivo Xplay6 Specifications: 

The Vivo Xplay6 sports a 5.46-inches Quad HD (2560 x 1440 pixels) Super AMOLED dual curved edge display and is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 Quad-Core processor with Adreno 530 GPU. It packs 6GB DDR4 RAM with 128GB internal storage. The Vivo Xplay6 runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow with Funtouch OS 3.0 on top.

Talking about the cameras, the Vivo Xplay 6 features a 12-megapixel rear camera with dual-tone LED flash, Sony IMX362 sensor, 4-axis OIS, 1.4μm pixel size, f/1.7 aperture, PDAF, and a 5-megapixel secondary rear camera. On the front, it has a 16-megapixel shooter with f/2.0 aperture for your selfies and video calls. It rocks a Fingerprint sensor for extra device security, 3.5mm audio jack, ES9038 DAC+ OPA1622 amplifier for better audio experience. Connectivity features include 4G VoLTE, dual SIM, WiFi 802.11 ac (2.4GHz and 5GHz), Bluetooth 4.2, and GPS. It packs a 4080mAh battery with fast charging support on board.

Vivo X9 Specifications:

The Vivo X9 sports a 5.5-inches Full HD (1080 x 1920 pixels) Super AMOLED display and comes with Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 SoC that is clocked at 2GHz Octa-Core processor with Adreno 506 GPU. It packs a 4GB RAM, comes in two different storage variants one with 64GB & other with 128GB storage. The X9 also runs on Android 6.0 marshmallow with Funtouch OS 3.0 overlaid on top.

In the camera department, the X9 comes with a 16-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, f/2.0 aperture, PDAF and on the front, it has a 20-megapixel front-facing camera with Sony IMX376 sensor, f/2.0 aperture, and an 8-megapixel secondary shooter. It rocks a Fingerprint sensor and AKM4376 DAC for better audio experience. Connectivity features include 4G VoLTE, Dual SIM, WiFi 802.11 ac (2.4 GHz + 5 GHz), Bluetooth 4.2, and GPS. A 3050mAh battery with fast charging is on board.

Vivo X9 Plus Specifications:

The Vivo X9 Plus sports a 5.88-inches Full HD (1080 x 1920 pixels) Super AMOLED display. It is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 653 SoC clocked at 1.95GHz Octa-Core processor with Adreno 510 GPU. Just like Xplay6, the X9 Plus packs 6GB RAM with 64GB or 128GB internal storage variants. It runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow with FunTouch OS 3.0 on top.

In the camera department, the device features a 16-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, f/2.0 aperture, PDAF. A 20-megapixel front camera with Sony IMX376 sensor and f/2.0 aperture and an 8-megapixel secondary front camera. The Vivo X9 Plus rocks a Fingerprint sensor for better device security. Connectivity features include 4G VoLTE, Dual SIM, WiFi 802.11 ac (2.4 GHz + 5 GHz), Bluetooth 4.2, GPS. A 4000mAh battery with fast charging is on board.

Pricing and Availability:

Vivo Xplay6: The vivo Xplay6 comes in Gold and Rose Gold colors and is priced at 4498 yuan (US$ 654 / Rs. 44,449 approx.). The device will be available for order in China starting today.

Vivo X9 and X9 Plus: The Vivo X9 and Vivo X9 Plus come in Gold and Rose Gold colors. The X9 is priced at 2798 yuan for the 64GB version and 2998 Yuan for the 128GB version and is available for pre-order in China from today. Vivo said that it would reveal X9 Plus pricing on December 26th.
