Vivo has launched a new Z-series with the launch of their latest smartphone, the Vivo Z1, today, in China. The phone comes with a notched display and an Octa-core Snapdragon processor.
The Vivo Z1 sports 6.26-inch FHD+ IPS LCD display with a resolution of 2280×1080 pixels. The 19:9 notched display has an impressive 90% screen-to-body ratio, with a curved 2.5D glass on top. The phone is powered by the Octa-core Snapdragon 660 AIE, with Adreno 512 GPU. It comes with 4 GB RAM and 64 GB of expandable storage up to an extra 256 GB via a microSD card. The phone runs on Funtouch OS 4.0 based on Android 8.1 Oreo.
The Vivo Z1 comes with a dual rear camera setup, with a 13 MP primary camera and a 2 MP secondary camera which captures the depth information for portrait shots. To the front, there’s a 12 MP front facing camera, which can take 24 MP selfies, and has AI Face beauty. The selfie camera can also be used for face unlock.
Apart from Face unlock, the Vivo Z1 also features a rear mounted fingerprint sensor, for added security. The phone comes with a 3260 mAh battery underneath the glass metal body. For connectivity, the phone has 4G VoLTE, Dual band Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS support. The phone weighs 149.3 gms and is 7.89 mm thick.
Pricing and Availability of Vivo Z1
The Vivo Z1 comes in 3 colors – BLack, Red and Blue colors. The phone is priced at CNY 1798 (USD 280/ INR 19,215) and is available for pre-order from today, while the sale starts from June 4th. There’s no word on availability of the smartphone in markets other than China, as of now.
