Infinix has just announced the arrival of the new face unlock feature in the Infinix Hot S3. The arrival of this feature starts 14th March 2018 after which the existing users will get an update and new users will get the update pre-installed. This makes the Infinix Hot S3 the first phone under Rs. 10,000 to come with the fast face unlock feature. The Face Unlock feature in the smartphone works alongside the fingerprint unlock feature in the device for a blazing fast unlock.
How to setup Face Unlock on the Infinix Hot S3
First, go to the Settings app on the device and open the Security and Location tab. Here you should now find a new option called Face ID, this should be conveniently placed under the Fingerprint option. To go ahead with this procedure, you will have to set up a lock screen passcode following which you can setup Face ID. Click on the Go to Setup lock screen passcode option if you’ve not secured your phone with a passcode yet.
You can now select one of the options from Pattern, Pin or Password as your passcode and you can then proceed with the setup. In the next page, you will be asked for Secure Start-up, it is recommended to select the yes option here. The Secure Start-up prevents the booting of a device till it gets authenticated with a password, this helps encrypt and protect the data. Once you enter the Pattern, PIN or Passcode of your choice you will be asked to re-enter the same and confirm it. Once you confirm the security, the next page allows you to choose the hiding of notification, select according to your requirement.
You will now be in Face ID windows, here click Add Face ID and then Scan your face in the circle, after the complete Scan, the app will then show “Face ID successfully enrolled”. This means that the Face ID has been set up successfully and is ready to use. Hit the power button on the phone and it should automatically unlock if it finds your face.
