NVIDIA Shield Tablet K1 with similar specs but a lot cheaper

NVIDIA has launched a revamped Shield Tablet and named it NVIDIA Shield Tablet K1 which was launched 16 months with some minor changes in the Hardware but a big change in the price. The decrease in the price is due to the removal of the charger or USB cable and Stylus which were included in the Shield Tablet.

As for the specifications which remain similar with the Terga K1 chipset running the show making it one of the most powerful Android powered tablets in the market. The tablet sports a 8-inch fullHD display with resolution of 1920 x 1200 pixels. It comes with Tegra K1 SoC coupled with 2GB of RAM and 16GB internal storage which can be further expanded using microSD card.

Already the first version of the NVIDIA Shield tablet was considered to be one of the finest tablets to do its job perfectly, with the minor changes and the impressive price drop surely makes it a sweet deal. With only the Apple iPad a noticiable contender to the NVIDIA Shield Tablet K1 in terms of performance, there are no other options in the Android market these days as well. NVIDIA Shield Tablet K1 runs on Android Lollipop 5.1 and the company promised the tablet to be upgraded to Android Marshmallow by the end of the year.

NVIDIA is offering the Stylus separately at a price of $20 which was earlier offered for free with the tablet itself. The Controller is available at a price of $59.99 and the Shield tablet cover is also priced at $39.99. The Shield K1 is priced at $199.99 which is a total of $100 less than its predecessor which was priced at $299. NVIDIA has made it a sweet deal by giving a $100 discount and doing some minor changes to the device in terms of specs.
