New iPad 2018 available in India for pre-order on Flipkart, priced from Rs. 28000

After launching the new 9.7 inch iPad at an event held few weeks ago in Chicago, Apple has finally brought the new low-cost iPad to India, on April 11. The new iPad supports input through Apple Pen, which will be sold separately. The prices of the new low-cost iPads start from INR 28,000.

The new iPad from apple features a 9.7 inch 2048×1536 Retina Diplay. The screen has an oleophobic coating and supports Apple Pencil. The new iPad is powered by an A10 Fusion chip that was first introduced in the iPhone 7 duos. Apart from the A10 chip, it comes with a M10 motion coprocessor and 2 GB of RAM. It comes with either 32 GB/ 128 GB of non-expandable storage. It comes with the latest iOS version iOS 11.

The 2018 iPad has an 8 MP F/2.4 camera on the rear, which can shoot videos up to 1080p resolution and panoramas photos with a 43 MP resolution. While on the front, it has a 1.2 MP HD FaceTime camera with an aperture of F/2.2.

The iPad has 32.4 Wh Li-Po battery, which promises upto 10 hours of web surfing on Wi-Fi. It features a Touch ID fingerprint sensor. The iPad comes in two models, a Wi-Fi only iPad, and a 4G LTE + Wi-Fi iPad. Both the iPads come with dual band Wi-Fi and HT80 with MIMO and Bluetooth 4.2.

The Wi-Fi only model weighs 469 gms while the Wi-Fi + Cellular model weighs 478 gms. The new iPads come in 3 colors – Silver, Gold and Space Gray. The 32 GB Wi-Fi only model is priced at INR 28,000, and the 32 GB Wi-Fi + Cellular variant is priced at INR 35,700. While the 128 GB Wi-Fi only model is priced at INR 38,600, and INR 46,300 is the asking price for the 128 GB Wi-Fi + Cellular iPad. The iPads are available for pre-order on Flipkart and while the shipping starts from April 25th.
