Airtel to offer free data to its postpaid customers from March 13th

Bharati Airtel, India’s leading telecom operator, has been named as the fastest mobile network in India by Ookla-which is one of the world’s most credible speed test organization. On this occasion, to celebrate the achievement, Gopal Vittal, CEO, Bharti Airtel has announced to all postpaid users that the company will soon send out surprises.

In the mail to their postpaid customers, he mentioned that it would be “sending some free data” to its postpaid customers starting this 13th. You need to login to My Airtel app to enjoy your free surprise. However, the company didn’t mention the specific amount of data it will be offering to its users. Airtel has rolled out two new plans to compete with the Reliance’s Jio Prime subscription.

The Rs. 345 plan offers free local + STD voice calls and 1GB of 4G data every day until 28 days. On the other hand, the Rs. 145 plan offers unlimited airtel-to-airtel voice calls (local and national) along with 2GB of 4G data with 28 days validity. These two plans are launched in order take on Jio Prime membership that costs Rs. 303 with 1GB daily data with unlimited phone calls, but you will have to pay Rs. 99 to subscribe to this membership.

Not just Airtel, Vodafone and Idea have also launched their plans to stay in the race offering free unlimited phone calls and data packs. Jio is indirectly helping customers by launching affordable plans and making other networks do it.
