As was the expectation, the Jio Welcome Offer that was said to be valid till the end of 2016 is now extended, and now every Jio SIM owner will get the benefits that are currently existing, till March 31st 2017.
Calling it the Jio Happy New Year Offer, the chairman and director of the company Mukesh Ambani said that the old offer will not be available from December 4th and it is being given the new name, but that doesn’t change the benefits the users are getting currently. Apparently, the network provider is falling short of the target of 100 million subscriptions set, and has recently clocked half of it.
The Jio Happy New Year offer will give the users unlimited data, free voice and video calls, access to the premium Jio apps and there is nothing that the user needs to pay till the end of March 31st.
Mukesh Ambani also mentioned about the Jio SIM home delivery, which helps user get the card at their home and get it activated under give minutes. This offer is available across several cities.

It is not clear about the fair usage policy and whether the users will be able to use the previous limit of 4GB of free data everyday or it will be made smaller so as to make it fair for everyone. Update: It will be 1GB per day for the current and new users. After the FUP limit, the speed will be reduced to 128 Kbps.
