iBall CompBook Windows 10 laptops launched from Rs. 9999

The domestic electronics brand iBall has just launched one of the most affordable Windows 10 laptop, the iBall CompBook, with two variants – Excelance and Exemplaire. The CompBook gives a straight competition to the Micromax Canvas Lapbook L1160 priced at Rs. 10499.

The Excelance variant is a 11.6-inch one, while the Exemplaire has a 14-inch display. The CompBook Excelance is priced at Rs. 9999 and the Exemplaire comes with the price tag of Rs. 13999, though a Business or Enterprise version of both available for Rs. 19999 and Rs. 23999 respectively (they come with Windows 10 Pro). The displays come with HD resolution (1366 x 768 pixels) and it is a multi-touch display.

These laptops are powered by 1.83 GHz Intel Atom quad-core processors and they run Windows 10 OS. They have 2GB of RAM, 32GB internal storage and a MicroSD card slot allows the expansion of storage by a further 64GB, and there is support for external hard-disk drives as well. The laptops also come with a 10000 mAh battery that is said to give a usage for up to 8.5 hours.

For the connectivity, there is support for Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, HDMI ports, and two USB 2.0 ports are included as well. iBall is offering an optional insurance pack along with the purchase of the CompBook, and it includes accidental damage, theft, breakage and one-year warranty pack. They have Cobalt blue or Cobalt brown color options.

“Our latest product is focused on innovation with pricing, as we understand the needs of the youth in the country who are looking at more affordable yet smart devices,” Sandeep Parasrampuria, director, and CEO of iBall, said adding that “the new products will look to democratise the computing needs of every Indian”.
