WhatsApp Video Calling rolling out, Windows Phone users to get it first

WhatsApp has been planning to bring out the Video calling feature to the app since quite some time and it was found through some hints fro time to time. Finally, the plans are coming alive and the WhatsApp Video calling feature will be an integral part of the app.

For now, it is only the Windows Phone users who can find the feature available in the updated app if they are using the Beta version or are into the Beta program. In the same Call button, the users will be able to choose whether to go on with a voice call or a video call.

The only problem right now is that Android and iOS users are far from getting it and there is no estimated release time given for them, even as a beta version. The Windows Phone users can update their app to see the feature getting available, but remember, the call receiver on the other end also needs to be on the Windows Phone OS, otherwise the video call won’t go through.

WhatsApp calling has been there for quite a good time and offering a decent call quality, and if the video calling on WhatsApp happens anytime soon on the two major platforms, it can put a contention against even Google Duo, Skype, etc. as WhatsApp has been growing as the primary chat platform for many.

Wait until we learn about the release date for the Video calling feature on WhatsApp for Android and iOS.
