PUBG Mobile to introduce new 3x & 6x scopes, ARs will no longer support 8x

The insanely popular battle royale game Player Unknowns Battle Ground also known as PUBG, is set to receive an update that would introduce 3x and 6x scopes in the game. PUBG has taken the online gaming community by a storm, thanks to the availability of the game across all platforms.

Currently, the game only offers 2x, 4x and 8x scopes, while the 6x can be accessed by adjusting the scope range of 8x. Tencent is set to release a new update scheduled to go live on Sunday, which would introduce new 3x and 6x scopes in the game.

The new update will also cease the compatibility of the 8x scope from all the Automatic Rifle guns which include AKM, M416, M146, SCAR-L, S12K.

Guns like Groza, M249, DP-28, UMP9, which currently only support a maximum of 4x scope, will now support 6x scopes after the latest update. Users will be able to readjust 6x scope’s view range to 3x.

M24, which currently is an Airdrop exclusive sniper, will be available in houses as a regular gun, after this update. DMR guns like SKS, Mini14, VSS, SLR now support attachments from the AR. Accessories such as Extended Mag, Suppressor, flash hider, compensator from AR can be attached to DMR guns, after the update.

The whole UI is set to change with a cleaner and neater design. Also, the company will also release a new Clan option wherein users can create their clans.

Availability of the PUBG Update

The Update will be pushed OTA to mobiles on July 22nd, i.e., this Sunday before 3 PM, while the emulator version will receive it later that day before 11:30 PM.

Users can now download the latest Beta of 0.7 from the PlayStore.
