Rufus Cuff, a smartwatch with 3.2-inch display up for pre-order

We have seen that the size of smartphone displays are increasing, the same trend is being seen in smartwatches as well. With the Rufus Cuff smartwatch by US-based Rufus labs which comes with a 3.2-inch display is now available for pre-order. This device seems like a hybrid of your smartphone or tablet designed to be worn as a smartwatch thanks to its huge display.

The Rufus Cuff sports the largest display in any Smartwatch, the device which started out as an Indiegogo project back in 2014 has come to the stage of pre-order. The smartwatch comes with some decent specifications which will be required to power the huge smartwatch, it comes with a 3.2-inch touchscreen display which is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass protection. It is powered by TI Cortex A9 CPU and has storage variants of 16GB, 32GB and 64GB. It runs on Android KitKat 4.4 OS, it sports a front facing camera as well for capturing pictures and videos. It comes with connectivity features like Bluetooth, WiFi and GPS.

The Rufus Cuff comes with dual-microphones and built in speakers which allows users to make and receive calls. You can connect to your Android or iPhone smartphone to make and receive calls along with send messages as well. It comes with a full keyboard which allows you to type easily any messages in apps like WhatsApp or any app thanks to its full Android Kitkat OS. With the GPS technology you can use it with Google Maps as well.

With Bluetooth connectivity you can use it with wireless headphones, speakers and smart locks as well as connect it to your smartphone to trigger your Android or iOS camera. It is spill and splash resistant making it easier for daily use. The sensors available are 9-Axis Accelerometer, Gyro and Compass. On the whole it is a great package, the size surely a matter of concern as it is too big for comfort and is priced at US$ 249. Which can be preordered from Indiegogo.com.
