MI TV 4 55-inch launched in India with HDR support, priced at Rs. 39999

Xiaomi has finally announced their new TV in India, the Mi TV 4 was announced alongside the Redmi Note 5 and the Redmi Note 5 Pro in the event today. The TV is advertised to be the thinnest in their range and comes fully loaded with several features. The Mi TV 4 is a 55-inch smart TV and has a 4K resolution with a pretty good contrast ratio. The 55-inch variant comes with a Samsung display and has side entry backlight mechanism. One of the best things about the TV, according to the company, is that it is the slimmest smart TV with the thickness of 4.9mm at its slimmest point.

The backlight is a 10 partition management and supports intelligent adjustment. The viewing angle of the TV is a decent 178 degrees and helps you comfortably view the programs from any corner without worrying about the visibility. The regret rate of the TV is 60Hz and the display offers a contrast ratio of 6000:1.

The TV runs on MIUI and also lets you interact using your voice Built-in apps include Online video, Calendar, Game center, Weather and the MIUI app store. There is “Patchwall”, the AI-based interface from Xiaomi that gives you the content in a better way on the home screen. The interface also makes it easy to combine the Smart TV and Set-top-box content together.

There’s also a children model that offers science-related content. The TV is extremely thin and measures at a staggering 4.9mm and also poses the bezel-less design. The TV comes with support for HDR content making your viewing experience even better. The Mi TV 4 also comes with support for their IoT portfolio including the Light, Sockets, Air-Con, and Camera. The built-in voice assistant lets you do anything from searching for a recipe to finding your phone location.

The smart TV comes loaded with several apps built in and is powered by a 64-bit Quad-core processor clocked at 1.8GHz and has 2GB RAM along with 8GB Flash storage providing ample space for apps to be downloaded. The TV comes with Dual-band Wi-Fi and has Bluetooth multi-device connect support. This lets you connect to multiple devices like a remote, mouse, Keyboard while still being able to stream audio to your wireless headsets. There is also a USB 2 and a USB 3 port on the device for connecting your media storage devices. The rear of the TV comes with 3 HDMI ports to connect other peripherals and you can connect an Ethernet cable for Internet if the Wi-Fi access is sketchy. For audio output, you can use the S/PDIF connections and the TV also supports analog signal DTMB.

Xiaomi Mi TV 4 remote integration

The TV comes supported by H.264, H.265 and post other common codecs and also has support for virtual surround with Dolby Audio DTS-HD. The TV also comes with two 8W speakers built-in and you can also connect it to external speakers to make your home theatre system. The TV weighs in at 17.8KG including the base and the power rating is at 155W.

There is a Mi IR cable launching at Rs. 299 for the connectivity with remotes. The Xiaomi Mi TV 4 is priced at Rs. 39999. The cable will be free for the buyers, and there will be free installation and there is 3-month free subscription with Hungama and Sony Liv. The TV will be available on Feb 22nd. on Flipkart, Mi.com and Mi Home.
