Lenovo ThinkPad P1 & ThinkPad P72 announced with 4K UHD displays, Xeon processors

Lenovo has launched their latest P-series laptops in their ThinkPad range, the Lenovo ThinkPad P1 & the Lenovo ThinkPad P72, today. The two laptops come with either Intel Core or Intel Xeon processors, with NVIDIA Quadro graphics. The laptops are independent software vendor (ISV) certified to run ISV applications such as Autodesk, AutoCAD SolidWorks & Vectorworks.

Lenovo ThinkPad P1

The ThinkPad P1 features a 15.6-inch 4K UHD display with a resolution of 3840×2160 pixels. The laptop uses an IPS panel, and also comes in a touchscreen variant. The laptop can either be configured with the latest 8th Gen Intel Core i9 processors or a Xeon processor with turbo boost up to 4.6 GHz. The NVIDIA graphics on the laptop can be configured with either Quadro P1000 or Quadro P2000 GPUs. The laptop comes with up to 64 GB of RAM and 4 TB of internal storage.

The laptop runs on Windows 10 Pro. The ThinkPad P1 is the company’s thinnest laptop with only 0.72-inches of thickness. The laptop weighs 1.7 kgs, and the battery underneath will offer up to 13 hours of battery life.

Whether you are looking for power, the lightest mobile workstation around or sleek and slim tech-envy, the ThinkPad P1 delivers on all counts, period.”

Lenovo ThinkPad P72

The ThinkPad P72 comes in a 17-inch display 4K UHD display with a resolution of 3840×2160 pixels. The display has a maximum brightness of 400 nits and supports 100% Adobe RGB color gamut. The laptop can be configured with either an 8th Intel Core processor or a workstation-grade Xeon processor. The RAM on the laptop can be configured up to 128 GB, while the storage can go up to 6 TB, with 16 GB of Intel Optane memory for faster boot speeds.

For the graphics, the ThinkPad P72 comes with NVIDIA Quadro P5200 graphics. The laptop runs on Windows 10 Pro for workstations. The laptop offers up to 18 hours of battery life.

Pricing and Availability of Lenovo ThinkPad P1 & Lenovo ThinkPad P72

The pricing of the Lenovo ThinkPad P1 starts from USD 1,949 (INR 1,36,303), while the ThinkPad P72’s pricing begins from USD 1,799 (INR 1,25,813.). The laptops will be available by the end of August 2018.
