Jio SIM Home Delivery Begins officially – List of Cities, How to get

Earlier, there were news and reports that the Reliance Jio free home delivery had begun, but Reliance rubbed it off by saying the website is not yet ready for the same. Now, it is official because the Jio’s official Facebook page has started putting up ads on social network saying that you can get the Jio SIM for free at your doorstep.

I can confirm this as the ad showed up on my account and it asks you for the initial details on Facebook itself before redirecting you to Jio’s website where the address is taken. We feel the ad will be location-based with people from particular cities being targeted.

The catch here is that you won’t still find a direct option on Reliance Jio website and it is only for those who see the ad on Facebook. Following are the list of cities, which could keep growing with time, where the Jio SIM home delivery is available.

  • Ahmedabad
  • Bangalore
  • Chandigarh
  • Chennai
  • Delhi City
  • Hyderabad
  • Jaipur
  • Kolkata
  • Mumbai
  • Navi Mumbai
  • Pune
  • Visakhapatnam

The ad says “Get Free High Speed Data, Voice & Jio App in 3 easy steps 1. Sign up, 2. Share your address, 3. Schedule SIM delivery.”. Tapping on Sign Up will ask you for the Email address, Name, and Phone number before taking you to the custom page on Jio’s website asking you for further details.

Another requirement for obtaining the Jio SIM for free is that you need to have the local Aadhaar card and be present at the delivery address and only then you will be getting the SIM card.

So, how to get Jio SIM free home delivery?

You can get it only if you are seeing an ad on Facebook, and there are high chances of you seeing the ad only if you are present in one of the cities given in the list above.

Is it still a good time to get the Jio SIM? December 3rd was the last day for Welcome offer?

The date for the Welcome Offer to end is still the same as it was before – December 31st. From December 3rd, the conditions for new SIM card owners will change so you don’t have to worry about that and if you are planning to get a Jio SIM right now, it is still a good time as you are going to test out the network and not just take the advantage of free calls and data.

In order to use a Jio SIM and its VoLTE calling, you need to have a VoLTE enabled phone, or use the Jio4GVoice app, and login through the MyJio app for the same.
