Moto G5 Plus with Snapdragon 625 SoC, Android 7.0 launched in India

Lenovo India has officially launched the Moto G5 Plus smartphone in India after the phone (along with the Moto G5) was unveiled at the Mobile World Congress 2017 event in Barcelona last month. Having the curvy back and a full-metal body, the Moto G5 Plus is the bigger variant of the duo. Today, Lenovo Mobiles has launched the G5 Plus in India and is the first country where the device is being launched after the International announcement.

The Motorola Moto G5 Plus Specifications:

The Motorola Moto G5 Plus packs a 5.2-inches Full HD (1920×1080) display that comes with comes with Gorilla Glass 3 protection and a pixel density of 424 ppi. The Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 SoC that is clocked at 2GHz Octa-Core processor powers the Moto G5 Plus, while the Adreno 506 GPU takes care of all the gaming requirements. It comes in two different variants, one with 3GB RAM with 16GB storage and another with 4GB RAM and 32GB storage. There is a dedicated microSD card slot for memory expansion up to 128GB.

Just as you would expect, the G5 Plus runs on Android 7.0 Nougat right out of the box. It comes with Google Assistant, but you will have to update the device to get it, so better watch out for an update once you switch it on for the first time.

Talking about the camera department, the Moto G5 Plus rocks a 12-megapixel f/1.7, 1.4-micron pixels, dual AF pixels, LED flash and a 5-megapixel front shooter with f/2.2, 1.4-micron pixels for selfies and video calls. It has a Fingerprint sensor for extra security and Water-repellant nano-coating. Connectivity features include 4G VoLTE, Dual SIM, Wi-Fi 802.11n dual-band, Bluetooth 4.2, NFC, GPS, microUSB port. A 3000mAh removable battery with Turbocharging is on board.

Pricing and Availability: The Motorola Moto G5 Plus with 3GB RAM variant with 16GB storage is priced at Rs. 14999, and the 4GB RAM variant with 32GB storage is Priced At Rs. 16999. Both these models will go on for sale in India starting from tonight exclusively via Flipkart. Flipkart is offering Rs. 1500 discount on exchange and extra 10% discount for SBI card holders.
