Coolpad Note 3 Plus with 5.5-inch Full HD display launched in India

Coolpad India has not released a big number of smartphones since its entry into the Indian market recently, but the two models that it launched were a bang for the buck. The first phone that was launched by the company in India was the Coolpad Note 3 and then came in a Lite variant with a few differences and a more affordable pricing. Today, the Coolpad Note 3 Plus is officially launched in India.

Now, how does this differ from the Coolpad Note 3? It is only with one feature – the display. The Coolpad Note 3 has a 720p display while the Note 3 Plus comes with a Full HD display under the same 5.5-inch screen. There is an octa-core processor along with 3GB RAM and 4G LTE connectivity, as it did with the standard variant.

The smartphone is launched for the price of Rs. 8999, which was also the price of Coolpad Note 3 during its launch. One of similar upgrades that we saw in the recent times was with the Yu Yureka, whose successor Yureka Plus had a better display and everything else was kept the same.

Just to compare, the Coolpad Note 3 had a 5.5-inch HD display, MediaTek MT6753 octa-core processor along with 3GB RAM and 16GB internal storage, and there is a 3000 mAh battery packed into the phone. Recently, the Coolpad Note 3’s price was dropped and now it is available at Rs. 8499 instead of Rs. 8999, which was its launch price.

The phone runs Android 5.1 Lollipop with CoolUI 6.0 and the Marshmallow update for the Note 3 was already in testing so the update might be rolled out very soon, to not just the Note 3 but also to the Note 3 Plus.
