Even after the launch of the Samsung Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge, there has been no much improvements in terms of sales, not at least as Samsung anticipated. Well, the decline in sales of Samsung’s flagship Smartphones has a lot to do with the latest Apple iPhone models. The bigger and better Apple iPhone 6 and iPhone 6+ have been attracting a lot of buyers lately, and therefore, it is pretty obvious for Samsung to release their next major Smartphone model of the year, the Samsung Galaxy Note 5, before Apple announces their next gen Apple iPhone.
And it seems, according to credible sources that Samsung is all set to unveil their latest flagship Android phablet on the 12th of August. And rumors also states that, we might be not only getting the Samsung Galaxy Note 5, but also the bigger brother to the S6 Edge, the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge+. Following the launch, these Smartphones will also be available on sale from August 21.
The Samsung Galaxy Note lineup is also expected to see a major design overhaul, inspired by the design of the Samsung Galaxy S6. Apart from the design changes, latest leaks suggest that the Note 5 will also posses a glass back, like the Galaxy S6, thus removing two of the most loved features of the Samsung Galaxy Note series Smartphones, removable battery and expandable storage. The Note 5 is also said to be the first Samsung Smartphone to feature 4GB of RAM.
Major design changes are also expected to be featured for the S-Pen stylus that comes with the Samsung Galaxy Note Smartphones. This time, the S-Pen is expected to look more like an ordinary pen with greater grip and more added software features to make its functionality, stand out from the crowd.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 5 is expected to come in various color options like Silver, Gold, Black and White. Similar to how the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 was offered. However, we do wish that Samsung make the 64 GB variant the base model like how Apple has done with their latest Apple iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus.
When it comes to the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge+, all we know about the rumored Smartphone is that basically, it would be a bigger sized variant of the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge launched earlier this year. The S6 Edge+ is also expected to run Samsung’s Exynos 7420 octa core processor, ditching the Qualcomm Snapdragon 808.
