Huawei Honor 5X launched in China with Two versions

Huawei has launched their latest smartphone, the Honor 5X in China which is the successor of the Honor 4X which was launched earlier this year in April. The Honor 5x is also released in the budget category with mid-range specifications. But the pricing of the device is competitive compared to the specifications at offer along with the added Fingerprint sensor in Honor 5X.

It comes with a 5.5-inch fullHD display having 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution. The processor has been upgraded to the stable 64-bit quad-core Snapdragon 615 processor with 1.7 GHz Cortex A53 and quad-core 1.2GHz A53 cores and Adreno 405 GPU. It is paired with two RAM configurations depending on the variant – 2GB and 3GB.

Huawei Honor 5X

The Honor 5X was expected to be launched last month in the Honor event, but Huawei instead launched Enjoy 5. The Honor 5X comes with a metal body and the look is pretty good. Huawei has added a fingerprint sensor which is said to unlock the device in just 0.4 seconds, positioned on the back of the device below the camera module.

  • Battery: 3000mAh with Quick Charge 3.0

The Honor 5X sports a 13MP rear camera with dual LED flash and a 5MP front-facing camera. It comes with a 3,000 mAh battery which supports Quick Charge 3.0 and you can charge your Honor X up to 50% in just 30 minutes. It supports Dual SIM with dual standby and connectivity features like 4G LTE for both sims, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS.

The Huawei Honor 5X has been released in China and will retail at CNY999 or $157 for the 2GB variant and CNY 1,399 or $220 for the 3GB RAM variant. The Honor 4X was launched in India around Rs. 10,000  and if the Honor 5X comes with similar pricing, it will be a pretty awesome with a Fingerprint sensor and Snapdragon 615 SoC. A device with similar specifications was revealed today, the Letv Le 1s which also sports a fingerprint sensor and is priced similarly.
