Alongside the Le 2, LeEco, the global Internet company has also launched the top-end device, the Le Max2. It is quite a good upgrade from the Le Max that was launched few months back when LeEco entered the Indian market.
The Le Max 2 has a 5.7-inch Quad HD display with the Super Retina technology and 95% of ultra-high NTSC. Internally, the phablet is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor (2.15GHz) and Adreno 530 GPU, and the 6GB of RAM and 64GB ROM. As usual, you won’t see a storage expansion slot.
The phone has a full metal body with a light-weight aluminum used with chamfered edges on both, front and back edges to give a better comfort while holding.
On the camera side, the LeEco Le Max2 has a 21-megapixel rear camera with Optical image stabilization, Phase detection autofocus, flex double HDR, 5x zoom for photos and 3x zoom for videos, and 4K video recording as well. The front of the device has an 8-megapixel camera with 1.4μm pixel size and a F/2.2 aperture.
The device runs Android Marshmallow OS based EUI 5.8 interface, and there is LeEco’s CDLA technology that takes advantage of the USB Type-C connectivity for a lossless audio output.
The Le Max 2 uses what the company calls Ultrasonic fingerprint that recognises even if there is sweat, grease, dirt, etc. Also, there is the mirror fingerprint sensor glass that the other LeEco phones also use. For the 3100 mAh battery that the device packs, there is support for Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 technology. According to the company, five minutes of charge gives about 3.5 hours of talk time.
The phone has support for 4G LTE connectivity and VoLTE. It is a Dual-SIM device with two Nano SIM card slots, both supporting 4G connectivity.
The Le Max2 with 4GB RAM and 32GB storage is priced at Rs. 22999 while the one with 6GB RAM and 64GB storage is priced at Rs. 29999. The phone will be available at Lemall.com, the company’s own e-commerce store that is launched today after the beta version was live for a couple of months, and on Flipkart, on June 28th. The registration begins on June 20th. With the device, 1 year of LeEco membership is included. Along with this, the company has announced the CDLA Type-C earphones that are priced at Rs. 1990.
