Lenovo launches Vibe S1, Vibe P1 and Vibe P1m at IFA 2015

At the IFA 2015 event in Berlin, Lenovo announced a few smartphones, alongside the gaming laptop series, and a couple of phablets. The three smartphones that were announced, all belong to the Vibe series of the company, and the phones are Vibe S1, Vibe P1, and the Vibe P1m.

While the Vibe P1 is powered by the much popular Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor, the other two are powered by Mediatek chipsets. Let’s check about each of them in detail. Just to note the similarity between the three, all of them are Dual SIM smartphones, and they run Android Lollipop OS, with the Vibe UI layered over it.

The Vibe S1 comes with a 5-inch Full HD IPS display, and it is powered by a MediaTek MT6752 octa-core 1.7GHz processor and 3GB of RAM, along with 32GB internal storage and MicroSD card slot for storage expansion. While there is a 13-megapixel rear shooter, the most unique feature about this phone, is the presence of a Dual selfie camera on the front. A combination of 8MP and 2MP front-facing cameras assist in selfies. The device comes packed with a 2500 mAh battery.

The Vibe P series has two phones, the P1 and P1m, both of which are good with battery life, having 5000 mAh and 4000 mAh capacity respectively. While the Vibe P1 has a 5.5-inch Full HD display, the P1m comes with a 5-inch HD display. A Snapdragon 615 chipset powers the P1, while the P1m runs on MediaTek MT6735P 1GHz processor. Both the smartphones have 2GB of RAM, but the internal storage on the P1 is 32GB, and it is 16GB on the P1m, both supporting MicroSD card.

While both the devices come with a 5-megapixel front-facing camera for selfies, the Vibe P1 has a 13MP rear camera, and the Vibe P1m comes with a 8MP rear camera.

Of the three smartphones, the Lenovo Vibe P1 has Wi-Fi with ac support (802.11 a/b/g/n/ac) while the other two are limited to 802.11n. The devices will go on sale pretty soon in the Asian market, and there is no information about the availability in the U.S., or the pricing of these phones.
