LYF F1 with Gorilla Glass 4, octa-core SoC launched at Rs.13,399

Reliance has launched yet another new handset through its LYF Smaprtphone+ brand. The latest device, named as LYF F1 (Future One) is a special edition phone from the company. The smartphone is eligible for Jio Welcome Offer and is already available for purchase at a price of Rs. 13,399. With 3 GB of RAM, octa-core Snapdragon SoC, Gorilla Glass 4 covered FHD display, and Cat. 6 LTE the LYF F1 offers a decent value for money proposition.

The brand new smartphone sports a 5.5-inch Full HD (1080 x 1920) display. A Corning Gorilla Glass 4 protects the IPS LCD panel. Inside, the LYF F1 houses the 64-bit octa-core Snapdragon 617 (MSM8952) chipset. The CPU consists of two sets of quad-core ARM Cortex A53 processors with each cluster featuring a maximum clock speed of 1.52 GHz and 1.21 GHz respectively. The graphics are managed by the 550 MHz Adreno 405 GPU.

Coming to storage, the LYF F1 sports 3 GB of DDR3 RAM bundled with 32 GB of internal storage. There is a dedicated micro SD card slot supporting up to 128 GB of memory chips. The newly launched smartphone supports USB OTG and can connect with external pen drives or hard disks.

The camera set-up of the LYF F1 comprises of a 16 MP rear autofocus snapper along with an 8 MP selfie unit. The primary shooter is equipped with PDAF (Phase Detection Auto Focus), dual LED flash and multi-focus. The new handset supports Full HD 1080p video recording at 30 fps through the back camera and 720p at 30fps via the front shooter.

The latest phone from Reliance is entirely compatible with 4G LTE networks and supports VoLTE calling facility. The LYF F1 sports a Cat. 6 LTE modem and offers double the download speeds of Cat. 4 devices. It is a dual SIM mobile where only the first slot is 4G-enabled. The new smartphone fully supports Jio 4G, and you will get the Jio Welcome Offer till 31st December 2016. Other connectivity options are 802.11 b/g/n Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v4.1, GPS, USB 2.0, etc.

A 3200mAh non-removable battery juices up the LYF F1. The handset runs on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow. The LYF F1 is already available at various Reliance stores across India for a price of Rs. 13,399.
