Micromax has just launched a new smartphone in the price range that is reigned by devices like the Coolpad Note 3, and it is the Micromax Canvas Evok that is launched at the price of Rs. 8499. The smartphone is aimed at youngsters and it doesn’t come with too many compromises, yet keeping the price interesting with what is packed in it.
The Canvas Evok comes with a 5.5-inch Full HD display having a 2.5D curved glass and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. Internally, the phone is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 415 octa-core processor (1.4GHz + 1GHz) along with 3GB RAM and 16GB internal storage, while allowing the storage expansion with the help of a MicroSD card slot.
The device comes with a camera combination of 13-megapixel rear and 5-megapixel front-facing camera. There is an LED flash support and the rear camera can record 1080p videos. There is Android 5.0.1 Lollipop OS running in the Canvas Evok and the pre-installed apps include App Center, Clean Master, Citrus Cube, Hike, M!Account, M!Live, Swift Key, OLX, Quikr, Scandid, Skype, CM Locker and CM Security, Vuliv, Wallet, Games: Temple Run Paradise And Monster Truck Saga.
The 3000 mAh battery included in the phone is said to give 10 hrs talk time on 2G, and standby time of 337 hrs on 2G. The 4G support is for TDD Band 40 (2300 MHz), and FDD Band 850 MHz / 1800 MHz. It is a Dual SIM device with the primary SIM supporting 4G while the secondary one supporting 2G network. There is support for VoLTE as well.

We expect the new smartphone to fare well in the market as the millennial generation understands technology and also recognizes the fact that one does not need to pay exorbitant prices for a premium quality smartphone.”
The Micromax Canvas Evok will be available on Flipkart for the price of Rs. 8499, and it won’t be a flash sale.
