Obi Worldphone SF1 enters India, price starting at Rs. 11999

Obi, a company co-founded by John Sculley (former CEO of Apple Inc.) has launched its latest smartphone the SF1 in India. The device which was launched alongside the SJ1.5 few months ago, and the phone is already available in Middle East and East Asia, getting a decent response according to the company.

The design of the Obi SF1 has been done by San Francisco-based product studio Ammunition giving it a neat and premium look wit the unibody with metallic accents and floating glass display. The Ammunition has also developed the Obi Lifespeed which is a custom user interface based on Android OS to be in sync with the hardware of the device. The Obi SF1 sports a 5-inch JDI In-cell IPS full-HD display having 1080×1920 pixels with pixel density of 443ppi. In addition it comes with Gorilla Glass 4 protection.

The smartphone is powered by 64-bit octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 (MSM8939) SoC clocked at 1.5GHz coupled with Adreno 405 GPU. It is coupled with two variants of RAM and internal storage – 2GB RAM and 16GB, 3GB RAM and 32GB both the variants can be further expanded up to 64GB using microSD card.  It measures 146x74x8mm in dimensions and weighs 147 grams.

The Obi SF1 sports a 13MP rear camera with LED flash, autofocus having Sony Exmor IMX214 sensor and f/2.0 aperture along with a 5MP front facing camera which also comes with LED flash. The smartphone comes with dual-SIM having Micro+Nano SIM options with 4G LTE supporting FDD B3 1800 MHz and Tdd B40 2300MHz bands. On the Audio front it has Dolby Audio and dual mic for noise cancellation. It is powered by a 3000mAh battery with Quick Charge 1.0 for fast charging. The sensors present on the device are accelerometer, proximity sensor, gyroscope, and ambient light sensor.

The Obi SF1 has been released in India and will be available in two variants of 2GB RAM with 16GB internal storage priced at Rs. 11,999 and the 3GB RAM with 32GB internal storage variant priced at Rs. 13,999. It will be sold exclusively on gadgets360.com/shop, from the first week of December 2015.
