OnePlus has launched their Flagships OnePlus One and OnePlus 2 in 2014 and 2015 respectively and according to Carl Pei the company’s next Flagship, the OnePlus 3 will be launched in the Second quarter of 2016. This translates to June 2016 which has been the launch dates for their earlier models as well.
OnePlus has launched another device in the mid-range, the OnePlus X which has been kind of a saviour to the company with the OnePlus 2 not being as popular as the OnePlus One. OnePlus has removed their infamous invite system to boost the sales of OnePlus Two.
Another important update about the OnePlus 3 is the new design which Carl Pei has mentioned and this has got OnePlus fans excited as the OnePlus One and OnePlus Two carried the same design form. With most of the Flagships for the year 2016 launched at MWC it will be very interesting to see what OnePlus has to offer after the OnePlus Two did not get the response which the company might have wished for. Carl Pei also mentioned that the device will be available in US and other markets directly through the company as an unlocked phone and mentioned that the company expects to offer a better buying process, but did not mention the details.
There are rumors about the new flagship by OnePlus already, it will be powered by the latest Snapdragon 820 SoC and sporting a bigger battery along with a microSD card slot for expansion, with quite some time left for the launch we can expect a lot of features and specs being leaked.
