OnePlus 5 Oppomart

Oppomart lists OnePlus 5 with Snapdragon 835, Dual lens camera for $449

Oppomart, a smartphone e-commerce store in China has listed the upcoming flagship from OnePlus, the OnePlus 5 with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor and that is much ahead of the actual launch of the device as we don’t have any official information about the launch from the company.

There has been quite some wait for the OnePlus 5 (OnePlus 4 is said to be skipped because the number 4 is considered unlucky in China) and thus, this listing excites the lot awaiting its launch because, through this, we can see what the device comes packed with.

According to the specs listed there, OnePlus is for the first time going to have a 2K display, i.e. 2560 x 1440 pixels resolution under a 5.5-inch screen that stays the same with the size. Under the hood should be the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor along with 6GB of RAM and variants with 64GB and 128GB internal storage. Something that was being rumored for a good time now was the presence of a dual-lens rear camera setup, which is now being shown here with the 12+12MP camera combination on the back and an 8-megapixel front-facing camera.

The other expected inclusions are the Android Nougat based OxygenOS ROM, front-facing fingerprint sensor and USB Type-C port with the support for Dash Charge, the new version of it. Also, it is said that the OnePlus 5 might have a 3600 mAh battery.

Now, to talk about the price – Oppomart has listed the device for $449. Everything looks so good on the device and even the price seems great, but we’re not seeing Oppomart listing a phone much ahead of the launch and not everything listed has been accurate always. It sometimes seems more like what they noted from the several leaks and then brought everything together, but the delivery date seems to be set for June – “Estimated availability: ship from beginning of June, 2017”.

Let’s hope what is shown here is true and we see OnePlus 5 sooner.
