Panasonic Eluga Mark with Fingerprint Sensor and 4G Support launched at Rs. 11,990

Panasonic has launched their latest smartphone Eluga Mark expanding the Eluga series of smartphones. It is mainly launched targeting the Enterprise section of users with support for EMM or Enterprise mobility management platform Android for Work.

The support for Android for work bring enhanced IT related features to the device like security and BYOD which is bring your own device compatibility for private devices to operate on secure corporate networks. The Panasonic Eluga Mark sports a 5.5-inch IPS HD display with resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels.

Commenting on the launch, Pankaj Rana, Business Head – Mobility Division, Panasonic India, said, “With the growing use of smartphones for a wider range of high-risk activities such as access to cloud data and private information, mobile security is a top priority for users,” he also said “This control-sensitive device, which achieves complex tasks with the press of a finger or a swipe of the thumb, is personalized for the user and protects the smartphone investment.”

The smartphone is powered by a Snapdragon 615 Soc coupled with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal memory expandable using microSD card. The Eluga Mark sports a 13MP rear camera with LED flash and a 5MP front-facing camera. The handset sports a Fingerprint sensor on the back of the device below the camera module, users can configure it to save up to 8 different fingerprints at a single time.

It runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop with FitHome UI over it which is modified to support single thumb flick access to apps on the home screen and supports Dual SIM. It comes with connectivity features like 3G, GPRS/ EDGE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, GPS/A-GPS, OTG support, Micro-USB, and Bluetooth.

The Panasonic Eluga Mark will be available in Royal Gold and Metallic Grey colors and will be available for purchase online as well as offline markets. It is priced at Rs. 11,990 or $180 in India, the exact date of availability will be updated as soon as any official news is announced.
