Samsung Galaxy J3 spotted in unofficial GFXBench test

Samsung had recently released Galaxy J2 in the budget category with 4G LTE support. In just a span of one month, the next version of J2 has been spotted in GFXBench test with some more than a decent upgrade from the previous version. the J series which has two budget devices along with one in the mid-range and one high-end variant in its series is going to be expanded further with the new J3 – SM-J3109.

According to the Geekbench test, the J3 comes with a 5-inch HD display which is a decent upgrade from the J2 display which was available with a resolution of 540 x 960 pixels. The J3 might also be getting the Super AMOLED display with 720p resolution. The Galaxy J3 has also seen some decent upgrades from the earlier J2 in terms of processor with the new Galaxy J3 spotted sporting a 64-bit Snapdragon 410 processor with Cortex-A53 in place of the 1.3GHz Quad-core Exynos 3475 Soc with Cortex-A7 in the Galaxy J2.

The RAM and internal Storage options are similar with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internals storage which can be further expanded using microSD card to 128GB. Along with the display and processor there has been an upgrade in the camera as well with the Galaxy J3 sporting an 8MP rear camera with 1080p video capture and a 5MP front camera which also comes with 1080p video recording, the Galaxy J2 comes with a 5MP rear camera which has just 720p video recording capability and a 2MP front facing camera.

The device will be coming with Dual SIM and 4G LTE capability as even the J2 has the feature. The Galaxy J3 is uncannily similar to the Galaxy J5 which also comes with similar specifications and priced in the mid-range segment. We have to wait for any official confirmations about the device. The J5 comes with a bigger 1.5GB RAM in comparison to what we are seeing in the expected Galaxy J3 and apart from that all the other specs seem to be similar.
