Samsung W2016 with Exynos SoC, 3GB RAM and 16MP camera launched in China

Samsung has launched their latest smartphone with a clamshell design called Samsung W2016 sporting the dual display. There was another Samsung device with the same design launched earlier this year called Samsung G9198 Flip. With the W2016 the company has brought the design of Galaxy S6 to this flip phone.

The design features which we can see taken from the Galaxy S6 are the aluminium frame along with the curved metal back and the metallic finish which was seen in the S6. The colors offered are Gold and Silver with dual display’s which are 3.9-inch AMOLEd displays with resolution of 1280 x 768 pixels.

The Samsung W2016 is powered by an 2.1 GHz Exynos 7420 processor coupled with 3 GB of RAM and decent 64 GB of storage space. It runs on android 5.1.1 Lollipop with TouchWiz over it. It comes with a 16MP rear camera with LED flash which is similar to the one on the Galaxy S6. It comes with 2000mAh battery which gives you decent battery life, it comes equipped with fast wired and wireless charging features.

Samsung W2016 flip phone

It comes with a T9 numeric keypad, it supports Dual-SIM LTE. The Samsung W2016 has been silently launched in China and the availability of the device outside China is not clear. The Flip phones released by Samsung and LG in the recent past have been restricted to the East Asia region for some reason. It would be nice if the W2016 flip phone which we can call a Flagship flip phone be launched in other regions as well.
