Swipe Elite 3 with 5-inch HD display launched in India

Swipe, the Indian smartphone brand has been actively working on to bring budget smartphones in India. It is under the Elite series where the phones are offered with decent specifications for the price and the latest one added to it is the Swipe Elite 3, which is priced at Rs. 5499. As expected, Swipe has made sure to have the VoLTE feature activated in it so that users can enjoy the Jio Happy New Year offer and the Jio SIM.

Shripal Gandhi, Founder and CEO of Swipe Technologies said,

“India might be the world’s fastest growing smartphone market but one of the biggest problems that many users face is that the user interface of most smartphones is English. Google says that Hindi content consumption, for instance, has increased five times when compared to English content in India, and even local language search queries have increased 10 times over the last 18 months alone. Taking cue from these trends, Swipe has developed a powerful smartphone that is sleek, superfast, functional, caters to regional needs and affordable too.”

The Swipe Elite 3 comes with a 5-inch 720p display and under the hood is the Spreadtrum SC9832 quad-core processor that clocks at 1.3GHz and there is 2GB of RAM and 16GB internal storage as well. As usual, a MicroSD card slot is present to allow for storage expansion with an external card.

The phone runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow based Indus OS that offers a lot of regional language support (12 regional languages are supported). The camera combination includes an 8-megapixel rear and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. The device has a 2500 mAh battery and the dual-SIM phone has a hybrid card slot, where the second slot can be used either for a SIM card or for a MicroSD card. The device also has the standard connectivity options including Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, and 4G LTE with VoLTE support.

The Swipe Elite 3 is said to be available in Space Grey, Silver, and Champagne Gold options and will be available exclusively on Flipkart, just like the other phones in the lineup from the company.
