Videocon Z55 Dash launched in India with Octa-core processor for Rs. 6490

While the news about “Make in India” keeps doing rounds, one brand that claims to be ahead of others in this race, and which is manufacturing smartphones ahead of any other brand in India, is Videocon Mobile Phones. To begin with, the company has announced Z55 Dash, a handset designed completely in India for Indians.

With the manufacturing in India, the company looks to offer affordability and stylishness to the Indian consumers. The Video Z55 Dash is a decent phone with the numbers, and the competitive price of Rs. 6490 adds to the value. Though the MRP is set at Rs. 8499, the pricing is reduced and the device will be sold exclusively on Flipkart.

Videocon Mobile Phones looks to deliver a youth-centric design in the Z55 Dash, and it does look good with the two color variants, one with black and gold finishes, while the other having white and chrome finish.

The Z55 Dash comes with a 5-inch HD display, and there is 5-point multitouch, and a Anti Fingerprint Coating, as well as Dragontrail X Glass to keep the screen protected from scratches. Though the chipset isn’t certified, the device has a 1.4GHz octa-core processor along with 1GB of RAM and 8GB internal storage.

There is a 8-megapixel camera on the back, and a 5-megapixel front-facing shooter. The rear camera features a protective camera lens made of Corning glass, and it also has a dual anti-reflective coating to enhance the picture quality.

Having Android 4.4.2 KitKat, the device has GPS-powered personal safety app, V-Safe, and a 90-day free subscription of antivirus software V-Secure is also provided by Videocon Mobile. The Videocon Z55 Dash has a 2200 mAh battery packed in, and the sensors included are G-Sensor, Proximity Sensor and light Sensor.

The phone won’t be available at any local stores or any other online store other than Flipkart, the exclusive partner for this device, and the price is Rs. 6490.
