Vivo has officially announced two new smartphones into the Indian market, the Vivo Y31 and Y27L which are targetted at the affordable price segment slightly above Rs. 10,000 with the Y27L available in markets from last week with a price tag of Rs. 12,980. Both the devices are launched in a similar segment and might be launched in a similar price range. Earlier this month the Vivo Y15S was launched in India Rs. 7,990 and was available in offline stores along with the Y27L from last week.
Both the Y27L and Y31 sport a 4.7-inch HD IPS display and the similarities end here, with the Y27L sporting a 1.2 GHz Quad-core 640bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 MSM8916 processor with Mali 400 MP2 GPU and the Y31 is powered by a 1.3 GHz Quad-Core MediaTek MT6580 processor with Adreno 306 GPU. Both the devices come with 1GB of RAM and 8GB internal storage space expandable up to 128GB using microSD card.

The Y27L sports a 8MP rear camera with LED flash and a 5MP front-facing camera, the Y31 on the other hand comes with a 8MP rear camera and 2MP front-facing shooter. The Y27L runs on Funtouch OS 2.1 based on Android Kitkat 4.4.4 OS and the Y31 comes with Funtouch OS 2.1 based on Android 5.1 Lollipop OS. The Vivo Y31 supports only 3G HSPA+ without 4G LTE support, whereas the Y27L supports 4G LTE / 3G HSPA+. Other connectivity features are similar with Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS.
The Vivo Y31 runs on a 2100 mAh battery and the Y27L runs on 2260mAh battery. The ViVi Y27L is available in two colors of silver and blue and is up for sale from last week, it is priced at Rs. 12,980. The pricing and availability of the Vivo Y31 are not yet revealed, we are expecting it to be in a similar price range.
